A historic and unique property in an unrivalled setting, Westby House, once Sedbergh's train station is now a modernised and Eco Friendly house that retains many original internal features. It is situated at the end of a 150 metre private driveway unseen from the road. There is an outdoor key safe for 24 hour access.

The house can be rented as one large property to sleep up to 10 people plus a cot, or can be separated into two completely self contained units. Four bedrooms are King sized and one downstairs is a twin room. All have comfortable mattress toppers, wardrobes with hangers, bedside cabinets, full length mirrors and lamps. All bed linen is supplied. Plenty of throws are provided in  living rooms and bedrooms for extra warmth. Childs cot and highchair are available.

Situated just inside the Yorkshire Dales National Park and only 20km from the Lake District Park, the house has outstanding 360 degree views of the National Park and Lune Valley. The extensive South West facing gardens mean the sun is in the garden all day - it rises to the left and sets to the right - beautiful sunsets and crystal clear skies to watch the stars from the patio.

Heating and hot water are provided via a modern Eco Biomass Pellet boiler with thermostats in the house and cottage for temperature control. Individual radiator's also have controls to keep rooms at preferred temperatures 365 days. A Multi fuel burner for logs and coal is in the main house sitting room. Logs and coal can be obtained from the local supermarket or local supplier both less than two minutes from the house - an initial supply is provided. 

Two Fully equipped modern fitted kitchens have all appliances and cooking utensils.  The main house kitchen has an upright fridge freezer and electric range cooker. There are two built in smaller Fridges, two dishwashers, toasters, microwave and Nespresso coffee machines with supplied pods. Welcome tray.  Toiletries and Eco cleaning products are supplied throughout the house..​

There are three Dining Areas, each with table and chairs. The main dining area is in the conservatory having a large table enabling everyone to eat together. Full length windows overlook the garden and the National Park. Plenty of crockery, utensils, glasses.

Two Sitting rooms both having comfortable 2 metre long velvet sofas, Armchairs, throws and plenty of cushions. Two small Libraries with assorted books. Two flat screen TVs with FreeSat, catch up and Netflix . Main TV being  60 inches. Two DVD players with DVD libraries for adults and children. 

Free Wireless internet throughout the house.​​

Assortment of board games and colouring books with reading books and guides to local walks and places to visit.

There are two modern bathrooms, the one upstairs has a freestanding bath and a separate shower cubicle with powerful Mira Air Power Eco shower, fitted cupboards and Amtico flooring, the one downstairs has a bath with Mira power shower over, handrail. Toiletries and plenty of towels and toilet rolls are supplied.

Two King bedrooms are upstairs and two King bedrooms and one twin room are on ground level for accessibility, foldable ramp available. Plenty of private parking with ample turning space and turning circle. 

No smoking or vaping is allowed in the house, but is fine anywhere outside ​ No parties please!

Minimum 3 day stay. Check in from 3pm and check out by 11am please.

Credit and debit cards, Paypal or bank transfers accepted.  25% payable on booking to reserve the dates, this is refundable up to 28 days before you stay. Final payment is due no later than 28 days before you stay. A refundable damages deposit of £200 is taken and is refundable within 7 days of departure.
